I have recommended this software elsewhere in the past, but had to use it for real recently after an eye operation, and have uninstalled it. It would always fairly quickly lead to complete system lockup on my Win 7 Home Premium PC, mouse and keyboard completely useless, no pssibility to launch Task manager, hard shutdown the only option.

Beware!
When I click on WholeDeskTop programs took over desktop and I was not able to see anything on Desktop items , and I couldn't ESC out of it , or show TaskMaster , or F11 ,
I had to Hold down power down button .

@vmars316: what is your system setup? Are you on Windows 10?

AFAIK the configuration can be changed by right clicking
the tray icon and changing the settings, including the use
of the escape key.

Love this program but had serious slow down problems on to Vista Ultimate 32-bit machines. Still useful -- just had to only use keyboard controls rather than the ctrl+mouse-scroll.

Regarding http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=19872

which stated "4. It does add itself to the start menu but you can right click and uncheck that option pretty easily."

I found that it put a link in the startup folder when it is first run (and settings.ini is empty). To be truly portable, the portable version should have this option OFF by default IMHO.

9.5/10 points.

I like this tool very much and use it all the time. It is my default color picker and window magnifier (window is resizable). It would get a 10/10 if it remembered window size and position from one session to another in an .ini file.

Despite what is written in the Synopsis above, I don't think that it does image grabbing.

@CD: You will have discovered by now that ZZoom offers you the option to copy an image of just its window content to the clipboard by pressing 'i' while the app is in focus. Clicking the '?' on the menu bar, one can see the command keys. This capture function is this app's weak point for me, and honestly I'm wondering how it saves settings between sessions. Anyone?

My only issue with this app is that it does not work with Semi-transparent windows. This makes it a bit of a boon to use with screen rulers.
