AmoK CD-DVD Burning is an authoring tool that works with virtually all SCSI, IDE, EIDE, USB and Firewire CD or DVD writers. It supports on-the-fly recording, so there is no need for temporary disk space. It is also capable of creating an ISO file from an existing disk or burning an ISO image. By default, only data discs can be created. Additional plugins are necessary for creating audio CDs, video, etc.

Ooops, "PlayList Copy" is the culprit trojan file, but still should be careful with this site. The author should know about this and fix it, or have their softwares be avoided.

There is more good Amok free software:

http://www.amok.am/en/home/

I have used AmoK DVD Shrinker (also portable), which "shrinks DVDs up to one fifth of the original size without any noticeable quality reduction".
I used it to reduce a DL DVD to a 'normal' DVD.

A+++++, "Kneel before Zod" level power

Burns ALL types of CD, SVCD, DVD's (RL & DVD-RAM). If it can be erased it can erase it.
I'd gues its a small plug-in (and skilled coder) away from Blu-ray burning with how well made it is

Amok CD-DVD Burner & their 2 "best" other app: DVD Shrinker & MP3_ReEncoder.
Tiny, the features ppl really use/need.

This is to "Big name" Burning software what VirturalDub is to KdenLive OR Waveshop is to Ocenaudio.
Its not the "best available" but its the best at "BYTE FOR BYTE" WEIGHT

- Amok Burner is 970Kb
- Amok DVD Shrinker is 700kb
- Amok MP3 ReEncode is 1.6mb (THATS WITH x86 Lame "v3995o 32bit" added & it weighs in at 339kb).

3.2mb total! Imgburn is bigger than that
Thats 3.2mb for EVERYTHING, once UPX'ed, and like I said that INCLUDES lame for windows.

AdvancedWinServiceManager v3.5 Private

webfork on 27 Mar 2016
  • 448KB (uncompressed)
  • Released on
  • Suggested by guinness

AdvancedWinServiceManager is a system service manager that focuses on third party services as a way to help determine (and disable) malware services. Because programs installed as a Service run at startup and have higher privileges, they are ideal locations for malware.

By default, the program only shows third party services along with more details such as Company Name, Description, Install Date, File Path, etc in one place. This helps in quickly differentiating between legitimate and malicious services. It comes with rich features such as detecting hidden rootkit services, exporting the service list to html-based log file, displaying only third party services etc.

Category:
Runs on:WinXP / Vista / Win7 / Win8

How to extract: Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch AdvancedWinServiceManager.exe.

    Version 3.5: 16th Jun 2013
  • Now by default it shows third party services at the start. Also launches in maximized mode.

Fix to my post below:

Please update info:

v6.0 portable process. current as of 2020 Dec 7th

1. Download zip fron site, unzip it (I used 7zip)
2. Then run Uniextractor on, in the resulting folder (made by step 1), the "Setup_AdvancedWinServiceManager.exe"
3. In the uniextractor tool made resulting folder (made by step 2) you will find "disk1.cab"
4. Unzip, with 7zip, "disk1.cab", inside THAT folder (made by step 3) you will find the "AdvancedWinServiceManager.exe", plus the docs/help url link

You may delete the url shortcut/rtf docs & UPX compress exe to 1580kb in size (FUPX v3.1 settings: Ultra brute, lmza, strip/compress all BUT 1st icon)

* Remember to run as admin!

This is one of the few (only?) https://securityxploded.com/ tools that is still not "ad/nag" ware, in its current version

I Can supply pre-made files for upload/download, as process is not novice friendly

In the renaming through GUI department, LupasRenamer is really hard to beat for ease of use -- notwithstanding its aging interface; it would be perfect if its developer took the time to update it a bit since, as it is now, it is already showing its age...

aazard on 2020-11-09 00:29

@Midas... still true 9 years later. Bulk Filr renamer & ant renamer are good, but this matches them, who are over 2 to 3 mb, BUT weighing in at under 300kb (290kb reduced to needed files) when made portable & upx compressed
best pick
